The Modern Day Wife Comes to Hoboken with “What She Said” NYFW Experience

New York Fashion Week is officially in the books for February 2026, and the Modern Day Wife (MDW) brought their “What She Said“ experience to the W Hotel in Hoboken. Per Meghan Fialkoff (one of the founders), the W Hoboken with whom they have a partnership offered “less congestion with a beautiful skyline.” I must agree with her, and in speaking with the attendees, many who were not from the area, they really loved Hoboken and what it had to offer. There was an element of surprise that this was New Jersey and its proximity to New York City.

The event was curated by The Modern Day Wife, founded by Meghan Fialkoff and Meagan Elieff who “are redefining how women connect, grow, and thrive in today’s world.” The team is a strong believer in “women supporting women “and their events offer a wonderful way to network, learn, and experience.

The day included networking, a designated area to try products and services and meet the founders, guest panels, and a fashion show. There was even a feel-good experience brought to the show by Urban Pups of nearby Guttenberg, NJ, it was doggy day care meets the W Hotel. Not only were you offered the chance to play with and take photos of the dogs, but they were also in the fashion show.

Celebrity panelists included: Eleonora Srugo from Netflix’s Selling the City; Hannah Wright of Love Island; influencer Davide De Pierro; Michelle Barone, host of RED Podcast; actress Catherine Bradley; Lavinia Errico, co-founder of Equinox, and Ryan Chen, founder and CEO of Crwd.

Fashion, beauty, wellness, and stability were all important points of discussion. In speaking to the panelists and businesses represented, they all were incredibly positive and uplifting in their approach. The key element was education and always paying it forward. The balance of work, life, and realistic goals were key.

In a report from the US Census Bureau November 2025; Women owned 14.2 million of all U.S. businesses, with $2.8 trillion in receipts. Events such as these offer the opportunity to connect with others, whether you are just starting out or established.

Thank you Meghan Fialkoff & Meagan Elieff for the experience!
